Exoplanets are planets that are not in are galaxy/solar system. What is a galaxy and solar system?
A solar system is: ?
A galaxy is: ?
Today we will be diving into the earth the sun and the seasons. You might be thinking shouldn't this be in the earth tab?Just stick with me here okay? First,a review of things you should know:There are four seasons winter, spring, summer, and fall, and the earth rotates around the sun. Second some things you might not know:In order to make these four seasons the earth rotates around the sun becauase the earth rotates around the sun it makes it colder and warmer at diffrent times.Another cool thing is that there is one very cold day and one very hot one. The very hot one is in the middle of summer(4-22).Mean while the cold one is in the middle of winter(2-2).In fact theres a period of time in winter where the sun doesn't rise. Interesting huh?But earth isn't the only planet rotating around the sun, there are other ones too including mercury, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune.
Ah the stars they are amazing to you ever wanted to get right up close to one or stand on one like in children books? Well thats not a good idea becauase, just like the sun they are flaming balls almost like mini suns. Speaking of the sun did you know that the center of the earth is hotter then the center of the sun! Isn't that crazy! I don't know why but that is just how god made it so we need to except that. Because god is stronger then anything else, and he is trustworthy.
Earth is the only habitable planet so far. There are lots of planets but which do you like best? There is Saturn with it rings of rock and dust. Or Neptune the furthest from the Sun. How about Mercury? Or maybe Jupiter the biggest gas giant in our our solar system Venus? Or our home earth. The Sun the hottest planet in our solar system? Mars? Uranus? Or an exoplanet learned about? Or maybe you wanted to know that it might be possible to live on Mars? Enjoy planets!
This is a nebula. A crab nebula.
Or in other words an exploding star. Nebulas or quite cool. They can come in many colors and sizes. Fun fact if the sun exploded today it would take another few million years for it to burn out. So the sun is very strong. Some scientists deem that nebulas leave behind a black hole. Stars have a big life cycle that I'm not jumping into right now but I will give you a quick overview. Basically the star get older and older and starts to burn out. Toward the end of its life it has to hold in a lot of particles, so much that it gets unstable so then it explodes and turns into a nebula. So watch out next time your stargazing: if your focusing enough you might end up seeing a nebula.
